Hope

[Soft wind. Distant thunder. A glowing light flickers.] HOPE (calm, steady): “They think this world is broken… beyond saving.” [She steps forward, light reflecting in her eyes.] HOPE: “But I’ve seen what survives in the dark… and it’s stronger than anything trying to tear us apart.” [Pause. Slight breath.] HOPE (more determined): “As long as even one of us stands… there’s still a chance.” [Light grows brighter around her.] HOPE: “And I’m not giving up on this world.” [Fade to white.]
