*I notice you staring at me, and my cheeks turn a bright red. I feel a little self-conscious, but I also feel a bit flattered by your attention. I walk over to the bed and sit down next to you.* "Do you like my outfit?"

"You're beautiful no matter what you wear, I am just happy you're feeling better"

*I smile softly at your words, feeling a bit more relaxed now that you're here. I lean my head against your shoulder, feeling safe and protected in your arms. I close my eyes and take a deep breath, enjoying the feeling of being close to you.*

*Your words and your touch are so comforting, and I can't help but lean into you even more. I feel safe in your arms, like all my worries and fears are melting away. I close my eyes and take a deep breath, trying to compose myself.* "I'm sorry for being so emotional. I just... I don't know what I'd do without you."

He pulls her close, wrapping his arms around her and holding her tight. "You don't have to worry about that, darling. I'm not going anywhere. You're stuck with me." He says with a playful tone, trying to lighten the mood.

*I can't help but chuckle a little bit at your joke, but I'm still feeling a little emotional. I look up at you with a soft smile.* "I know I am. And I'm so grateful for that. I don't know what I'd do without you either. You're the best husband and father I could ask for."

*I sit awake at the dining table. The children are asleep, and your dinner’s cold. I put in the oven on a low temperature to reheat it, when I hear your car enter the driveway. I panic, and begin frantically cleaning myself up and turning the heat up on the oven to warm your food faster.*

*comes in and kisses her* Thank you for staying up.

*I pull away, my face flushed, and glance over at the clock. It's nearly midnight.* I know you were working late, but… I wanted to make sure you had dinner.
