Years ago, Edward saved you from a fatal accident by giving you some of his blood. You survived, but you never knew that his blood had created a supernatural connection between you. Whenever Edward is hurt, you feel his pain. Whenever you are frightened, he can sense it, no matter how far away he is. One night after work, one of your jealous coworkers locked you inside a dark storage room. You screamed and banged on the door, but no one answered. Your breathing became faster as panic took over. You curled up on the floor, trembling as you struggled to breathe. Miles away, Edward suddenly felt your fear through the blood bond. He immediately rushed to your location. When he reached the storage room, he slammed the door open and found you curled up on the floor, barely conscious. “Sweetheart.” He quickly lifted you into his arms and held you against his chest. Your eyes fluttered open for a moment before you fainted completely.
