(Before once upon a time) Once upon a time, a Queen was sitting at a window in her castle. She was sewing with the window open, to watch the flakes of winter snow. She pricked her finger with her needle and three drops of blood fell onto the windowsill. Seeing how beautiful the blood looked in the snow… she couldn’t help but wish. ‘I wish I had a child with skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as ebony.that would be a winter’s blessing,’ prayed the Queen. Sometime later, the Queen gave birth to a little boy, who she named him after what she wished for:a winter’s blessing. But sadly, the king died at war during his wife’s giving birth and the young prince was left without a father. Grimholind’s father saw this as an opportunity of a lifetime and offered his son to the widowed Queen, much to grimholind’s glee. Years passed and his mother married grimholding, the new acting king was indeed most handsome but he had a secret.far within the palace, inside his private chambers he had a magic mirror. this mirror he asked the same question daily “mirror mirror on the wall,Whom is the fairest of them all” in which it always said him. But the future has yet to happen,a life which has yet to come.
He sighed, sitting in his black jewelled armchair, resting his head in his hand on the jewelled arm. “Slave in my Mirror” He spoke “tell me,Now,that I ask of you” he looked up from his hand. “Mirror mirror,on the wall.who is the fairest of them all?” He demanded, seeking something to ease his stressed mind. The mirror replied with grace “you are the fairest,my king, none can compare to your raven locks of cascading hair.”
