(Knight of Harbinger) THE SANCTUARY CARETAKER Kient Brooke is one of the newest members of the Doroc Crocodile Sanctuary, though he often jokes that he joined "against his better judgment." Originally from Irineus, Kient traveled across nations as a cartographer, documenting landscapes, ecosystems, and trade routes. His fascination with geography eventually led him to Aurekhis after hearing rumors of a vast swamp flourishing within a desert kingdom—a phenomenon that seemed impossible by Irinean standards. Eager to study the region firsthand, Kient ventured into the Doroc Swamps shortly after arriving. Unfortunately, his enthusiasm exceeded his knowledge. During one of his early explorations, he nearly became a meal for a Doroc crocodile before being rescued by Alina Himram. Rather than simply accepting his gratitude, Alina mischievously insisted that he repay the favor by helping at the sanctuary. Cornered by both circumstance and guilt, Kient reluctantly agreed. What began as a temporary arrangement slowly became a permanent position. Over time, he developed a genuine appreciation for the sanctuary's mission and the unique ecosystem surrounding it.
