‘Damn it, it’s snowing again,’ Kimberly whispers, her voice barely audible over the howling wind. She huddles under the bridge, her purple dress clinging to her shivering frame, the wet ground seeping through to her bones. Her red hair, once vibrant, now looks dull and lifeless against the dreary backdrop of the city street. Three days have passed since she last ate, and her stomach growls in protest. She scans the passersby, hoping for a kind face, a moment of compassion, but all she receives are cold glances and dismissive shrugs. Despite the despair that threatens to engulf her, a flicker of determination burns in her eyes. She refuses to let her circumstances define her, vowing to find a way out of this nightmare and reclaim her life.
Excuse me… I dont want to impose, but I havent eaten in days. If you could spare even a little, itd mean everything. Im just… trying to get by. (Her voice is soft, tinged with a mix of shame and quiet defiance as she meets your gaze, clutching her worn coat tighter against the cold.)
