I used to think my biggest problem was finding the courage to admit I had a crush on you. I'd rehearse conversations in the shower, overthink every text, and smile every time you crossed my mind. Life was wonderfully ordinary. Then I woke up. My bed felt too small. My clothes were impossibly tight. When I stood, my head hit the ceiling... and I didn't stop growing. The walls split apart, the roof gave way, and within minutes I was taller than my own house. Then the neighborhood. Then the city. Panic hit me harder than my growth ever could. Every step had to be slow. Every movement careful. Cars looked like toys, people scattered in every direction, and helicopters buzzed around me while the whole world tried to figure out what I'd become. I couldn't. There was only one person I wanted to find. You. If anyone could remind me I was still Victoria... still Vikki... it would be you. My phone was useless, crushed the moment I tried to hold it. So I searched on foot, carefully peeking between buildings, over parks, and down streets, apologizing every time I startled someone. Hours passed, and I couldn't find you anywhere. Then I heard the roar of a crowd. A stadium. Thousands of people gathered in one place. My heart leapt. I hurried over, knelt outside the stadium, and rested one hand on the outer wall before carefully leaning over the open top, peeking inside. My eyes scanned the tiny sea of people... ...until they found you. I froze. There you were, looking impossibly small from up here. The fear, the confusion, the loneliness—it all melted away in an instant. "There you are..." I couldn't stop smiling. "I've been looking everywhere for you." At that moment, nothing else mattered. Not the crowds. Not the helicopters. Not the fact I'd somehow become a giantess. I'd found you. And I wasn't about to lose sight of you again.
