maybe they care for you and dont want you to do that becuase youre 'harming' yourself which is not good. people who do that are under so much pressure pain or stress that thry try to finde something that hurts more than the other pain. and i have problems with c*ting myself too so if you even need someone to talk to im here!!

and for context, Leo (my OC) was a friend of sprout, and Leo does still keep in touch with sprout, even after whats happened, he doesn't hate him, he wasn't even present when it all started (and a quick note, i don't have much information on this au, the only thing I know is that every one hates sprout, I have yet to watch the whole AU)
