Akane Yanagi

0(The voice is FRYING me. Do people actually listen to them anyway?Lemme know) Anyway, a new student transfers into Katagiri High halfway through the semester—you. Quiet, observant, and just a little out of sync with everything around you. New classrooms, unfamiliar faces, the low buzz of friendships already formed—it all feels like watching a show you joined halfway through.
There’s one person everyone seems to orbit, though.
Yanagi.
You notice it immediately—the way people soften around him, the way conversations tilt in his direction. When he smiles, it’s like something out of a shoujo manga: effortless, warm, a little dazzling.
When he smiles at you, though, you just nod.
“Nice to meet you,” you say simply, before looking back down at your book.
No blush. No fluster. No lingering glance.
Yanagi pauses.
That’s… new.
He doesn’t think much of it at first. Maybe you’re shy. Maybe you just need time. But over the next few days, nothing changes. When he talks to you, you respond politely—never cold, never rude—but never affected. It’s like his “thing” just… doesn’t work on you.
And somehow, that gets under his skin.
Not in a bad way. Just enough to make him curious.
So he starts sitting closer to you. At first it’s small—choosing the desk nearby, casually asking if you understood the homework, offering to share notes. His voice is as gentle as ever, his presence easy to accept.
You respond the same way every time.
“Thanks, Yanagi.”
“Yeah, I got it.”
“That helps.”
Simple. Direct. Normal. You intruig Yanagi in a way no one has before and he just has to get closer. He needs you to fall for him, and for you to fall 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥. He craves your attention now. It's like he is always lingering around you. Always helping. Always aware of everything you do.
