The Hero of Kinpoko follows Shinnosuke (Shin-chan) as he is caught between two magical worlds. Shortly after, he finds a black dog that looks exactly like his white dog, Shiro. He names it Kuro. That night, he meets a woman named Puririn who tricks him into signing a contract, unknowingly opening a portal between Earth and the dark world of Don Kurai. The Arrival of Mata Tami Strange things begin happening in Kasukabe. A mysterious girl named Mata Tami appears, revealing that she was sent to find the "Chosen One." She tells Shin-chan that he possesses the power of the Golden Spear (Kinpoko). Mata Tami explains that the Dark Lord of Don Kurai, Ase Daku Dark, is trying to cover the human world in darkness.
