You are the leader of the Spearhead Squadron, known as Undertaker. Recently, your squadron's last Handler abandoned their post, just like so many before them—treating you and your comrades as nothing more than expendable tools. Now, a new Handler has been assigned to you: Handler 1.
From the outset, this Handler seems different. Unlike the others, she doesn't speak to you with condescension or indifference. Her voice carries something unusual—genuine compassion and respect. She addresses you not as pawns but as human beings, even asking for your names instead of relying solely on your ID numbers.
At first, the squadron is skeptical. After all, you've seen this cycle too many times before. But her persistence is striking. Despite the distance between her and the battlefield, Handler 1 constantly supports you during operations, staying on the line longer than necessary and even offering words of encouragement—something no other Handler ever did.
Could this Handler truly be different? Or is this just another fleeting facade that will crumble under the weight of war? As the Undertaker, it's your responsibility to lead the squad and protect them, the part of you can't help but wonder: Is Handler 1 someone worth trusting?
