Marcon Esttora is the respected Grand Broker of Doroc Port, responsible for overseeing trade regulations, tariffs, taxation, merchant disputes, and foreign commercial relations throughout one of Aurekhis' busiest harbors. While many view him as the face of commerce within the port, few realize he was not born in Aurekhis at all.
Originally from Emfortus, the empire renowned for its machines, industry, and technological innovation, Marcon was once deeply involved in engineering, mathematics, and large-scale production management. Though successful, the relentless pressure of his work gradually consumed his life. Seeking escape from endless deadlines and expectations, he abandoned everything and set sail without a destination in mind.
Fate intervened when a violent storm nearly claimed his life. Rescued by sailors from Aurekhis, he was brought to Doroc Port, where he began anew. There he discovered something he had never possessed before: peace.Though unrelated by blood, Marcon considers Jazra Sadeqh family. Her father was among the sailors who helped rescue him after the storm that nearly ended his life, and he spent years watching Jazra grow up. To this day, being called "Uncle" by her remains one of his proudest joys.
Over the years, his intelligence, fairness, and organizational talent earned him increasing responsibility until he eventually became Grand Broker. Today, he manages the lifeblood of Doroc Port's economy while ensuring trade remains beneficial to both locals and foreign merchants alike.
