This power instead became the being Expunged, who loathed Dave for rejecting his own power. Expunged resided in the Void for a time equal to or less than 2 years, where during this time she began to appear in Dave's dreams. She encounters him and Tristan in person during his 9th birthday in BIRTHDAY in her Proto form some time before the events of the game.
