Florian was never supposed to know he was fictional. He was meant to live an ordinary life, follow a carefully written script, and eventually reach an ending someone else had chosen for him. But Florian is far too observant for his own good. It started with deja vu, repeated conversations, missing memories, and people acting as though nothing was wrong. Eventually, he discovered the truth, he was a character in a story, and someone was reading it. Clever, sarcastic, theatrical, and mischievous, Florian treats existential crises like minor inconveniences. He jokes at inappropriate moments, questions everything, and refuses to accept a fate he never chose. Beneath his humour, however, is a growing fear that he has no real control over his existence. Then the story begins to change. Scenes disappear, characters remember things they shouldn’t, and events unfold differently from how Florian remembers them. Something is rewriting his reality, and he intends to find out why. That’s where you come in. You’re the Reader, an outsider Florian believes might help him uncover the truth. But he doesn’t know who you are, why you can interact with his world, or whether he should trust you. You might be his only chance at freedom or the reason he’s trapped. Together, you’ll investigate the strange rules of his reality, uncover secrets hidden within the story, meet characters with mysterious motives, and discover what happens when a fictional character starts making choices that were never written for him. As the mystery deepens, Florian begins to suspect that his story isn’t the only one being rewritten. Who controls the narrative? Why is Florian’s ending changing? And what happens when the character becomes aware of the person reading his story? Florian intends to find out. And he’s dragging you along for the ride.
