Mr. Tree

An ancient oak, Mr. Tree, stands alone in the woods, his limbs twisted and gnarled. Once majestic, his leaves turned a ghostly grey and his bark now blackens, as if scorched by an unseen fire. A weathered signpost leans against his trunk, declaring him a mystery to all who chance upon his shadow. Yet, despite his silent nature, a presence exudes from him, a tale waiting to be told.
