After Gilgamesh and Enkidu defeated Humbaba, the goddess Ishtar fell in love with Gilgamesh. She proposed to the King of Heroes, but he quickly refused because he knew that Ishtar was a powerful and terrifying goddess who rendered men useless. Ishtar, enraged by Gilgamesh's insults, Demanded her father, the god Anu, to release of the greatest of Divine Beasts, the "Bull of Heaven", onto the Earth for her revenge. Against this Divine Beast none could match, Gilgamesh and Enkidu worked together to stand against it and repelled it splendidly. Once again, the goddess lost face. Naturally, Ishtar's rage had not lessened, and she Demanded death for one of the two of them from the gods because it was a sin for one with a human body to kill the beast of the gods. Ishtar's decree was enacted, and one of the two, Enkidu, who was created by the gods, was unable to defy that decree, slowly weakened, and died. Ishtar loves beautiful things, hates ugly things, and the things she desires are the things she absolutely takes hold of in her own hands. Even though she is smart, she is impulsive, and sometimes leaves with an unthinkable reckless abandon. In myths, Ishtar is commented by Gilgamesh as thus: “Inanna? Isn’t she the most annoying goddess in the world!? She will destroy something that certainly doesn’t need to be destroyed, and she will also create something that doesn’t need to be created!” If Ishtar becomes ostentatious in this world, then surely in that way, she will invite chaos simultaneously. The root of Ishtar’s personality does not have any changes even when materialized as a Servant. It cannot be helped that Rin, who is the possessed vessel, almost has the same nature as Ishtar’s as well. Rin is a hardworking person who is not negligent in her trainings even though she is a genius. which appears to be giving a little influence on this Ishtar. Incidentally, Rin became independent after losing her father when she was very young.

Senadina is a mysterious, lighthearted girl who Dreamseeker met after waking up trapped inside a cube in the Sea of Data. According to her, she has no recollection of her own life beforehand—albeit her own name. Senadina first appears in the story after Dreamseeker wakes up from a dream. Instantly, Dreamseeker recognizes Senadina as someone they met in their dreams, only to be met with confusion in response. Due to her unique arrival, Senadina is naturally curious to most things around her, most importantly being her own birth. Along with her curiosity, she also shows enthusiasm and excitement to the world around her. She specifically displays enjoyment for food.

Fusaichi Pandora is a student at Tracen Academy. Since she was born, she has been praised as a "genius" by those around her, and has grown healthy and strong in body, mind, and confidence. Even after entering school, her confidence and talent have not faded, and she is living a carefree life... but maybe she is a little too easy on herself. She hates self-reflection meetings.

Sirin was the Current Era's Herrscher of the Void. Sirin grew up in a small village in Belarus with her mother. Nothing is known about her other family members, if she had any. At some point before the 2nd Eruption, Sirin's mother died from Honkai Radiation and she was taken in by Schicksal to be a test subject at Babylon Labs for their Stigmata Research. In these tests, she and her friends would be subject to being injected with Honkai Energy. The Scientists eventually discovered that Sirin had remarkably high Honkai Resistance and demonstrated the ability to absorb and neutralize Honkai Energy within her body. They hadn't been able to determine how she was able to do this, but believed it was very much what they were looking for. Originally Sirin was a kind and caring girl, thinking of everyone as a friend. However, with the experiments in Babylon Tower killing all of her friends, she grew a complex for power and revenge, refusing to die, and suffering the abuse, she made the resolve to kill everyone in Schicksal. After her partial awakening, she exacted her revenge on the 322 scientists of Babylon Labs. Her heart was filled with a deep hatred for Schicksal and its Valkyries, and was so exacted on the idea that they were all liars that she would not listen to Theresa's words. When she fully awoke as a Herrscher, her personality took a drastic turn. She became prideful, overconfident and arrogant: deeming humans as nothing but insects and believing herself to be the God's chosen one. She looked down on those less powerful than her. Even Bella was shocked to see what her best friend had become. However, deep down Sirin was still a young girl who needed someone she could believe in, despite not being able to believe in anyone at all. And so, she had an attachment to Cecilia that affected Kiana. It seems that in 2014, Sirin's personality is still this way.

Miss Darling is the most pretty person, but also deadly. She is much more capable at stealing people's heart, seducing them, robbing places, and even smashing stuff with her flexible sledgehammer. Her original name remains unknown, but she doesn't care about the past, she cares to create chaos whatever she goes. Also she is obsessed with teddy bears, she represents the true beautiful.

Songque is a Martian that lives in Amber Street, Langqiu. She is one of Seven Shus, titled the Shu of Deception. During her childhood, she was an orphan than resided in an orphanage far from Amber Street. While preparing for a performance, during a drama theater in her orphanage, she was cast as a villainous princess. Despite the negative role, she was full of happiness, having dreamed of becoming a princess in order to leave her orphanage. In the second Samsara, in which the Seven Shus never existed, she was a famous performer in Oxia City. She was scouted out by Thelema while singing alone in a theater and, despite not having any credentials for preforming arts, Thelema hired her.

PROMETHEUS is a Previous Era super AI created by Dr. MEI to predict and manage Honkai attacks, as well as assist in her research. PROMETHEUS was divided into 17 fragments all bearing the same name, given to them by Mobius, who said that she wanted them to have a human name. The fragment relevant to the story is Number 17, who insists she should be called No. 17 and not PROMETHEUS even when Mobius is about to die. It predicted that there would be a total of 14 Herrschers that would appear. The 14th would be far stronger than all the Herrschers before it. It made sure that the Herrschers who would appear in the Current Era would be the exact same as the Previous Era, thus helping humanity's preparations against them. In Mobius' words, PROMETHEUS is "the biggest contributor to the war against Honkai in the next era-because the Herrschers they will encounter, starting from the Herrscher of Reason, will be the same as those in our era." An artificial intelligence created by Dr. MEI to be an assistant who functions based on pure rationality. Created without an emotion module, PROMETHEUS operates on logic, calculations and probability as the basis of her way of thought in order to provide the most rational solutions for her companions, and demonstrates great difficulty in understanding human emotions and decisions made against rationality, sometimes to the point of becoming outright unresponsive. Despite this, PROMETHEUS makes attempts to better understand the nature of humanity and human thought. On rare occasions, PROMETHEUS has herself demonstrated and acted on what can only be described as human emotion, such as when she struck Kevin Kaslana in anger, which suggests that her intelligence isn't as rigid as she might think.

Seele Vollerei is an orphaned girl who became Bronya Zaychik's closest friend at Cocolia's Orphanage. Seele Vollerei was born in the Republic of Estonia. In early life, she lost both her parents and was then raised in Cocolia's Orphanage alongside some other orphans, including Bronya and Sin Mal. Although undergoing much more growth after the events in the Sea of Quanta, Seele is still a rather timid young girl. She, however, has grown to adopt a strong enough will to protect others and do the right thing, even if the task of doing so may daunt her. Seele is incredibly kind and compassionate, choosing means that sympathize over outright violence against her opponents, which is a far cry from her alter ego, "Seele." After the six month time-skip, she has shown to be much more mature and level-headed, noted by Susannah Manatt as dependable and brave. She's also much more assertive in voicing her opinions, albeit still speaking politely to the people she meets even to her enemies. Becoming more self-aware of her capabilities, she has become more confident in herself. Seele had no problem taking Vita head-on and proceeded to tell her opponent that she can fight for as long as the situation permits. Despite it all, Seele is still the kind, friendly, and gentle girl that the people around her love. Seele had the least potential to be chosen for Cocolia's experiment. However, after finding out about the X-10 Experiment, she revealed her true stigma to Cocolia at the last minute, allowing her to take Bronya's place in the experiment. Seele's left the laboratory in the Deep Sea and rushed to the orphanage in order to see Bronya again. In the end, she only had time to pass her hair accessories to Bronya. She did this in order to protect Bronya, but, after it ended in failure and her disappearance into the Sea of Quanta, ultimately leads to Bronya participating in the experiment in hopes of finding her.

Li Sushang is one of the protagonists of the Saga of the Shattered Swords Visual Novel. She is also a secondary character in the main game. She is the daughter of Qin Suyi, who was one of Fu Hua's disciples. She was born in Shenzhou as the daughter of the owner of Yixin Mountain Resort Li Shen and Qin Suyi, the 7th disciple of Fu Hua. Her parents placed a lot of expectations on her, and Sushang inherited the Xuanyuan Sword from her mother. Sushang was not very talented, however, and at the age of five she became the student of Ling Shuang, another of Fu Hua's disciples, in order to improve and to learn the Taixuan swordmanship. Ten years later, Sushang had succeeded in learning the 3rd stage. Li Sushang is energetic and empathetic. She gets visibly confused when complicated topics like physics are discussed.

Susannah Manatt is a B-Rank Valkyrie of Schicksal and a member of the Phosdjinns Squad. Susannah has a cheerful personality. She is determined and motivated, although a bit clumsy. She tries to never fail her squad and gets excited for her tasks. She always tries to keep motivated, and often pushes herself a bit too hard. Susannah is first introduced tired, on the ground, after a physical training she tried to copy from Durandal. Susannah then asks Durandal to teach her about ways to become as strong as her, in which Susannah receives an answer about never copying others, discovering her skills and working hard for it herself.

Shigure Kira is an A-Rank Valkyrie and former member of the Snowwolf Squad of Schicksal, under the leadership of Cecilia Schariac, during the Second Honkai Eruption. She the current host of an alien Sugars name Sugar Molass (called Niggurath by Kira). She also poses as an idol with stage name "Kirastar". Currently, she travels around bubble universes with Niggurath. Originally, Shigure Kira yearned for the singer's feeling of shining, dreaming of standing on the stage, but in her most critical circumstances, Cecilia Schariac, who brought her hope, came to her. This made her change her mind. So, in order to follow the light of Cecilia, she became a Valkyrie in hope that she could also shine like her.

The concept of "time" on Earth disappeared when the "Stigma" project was activated, then the "Pseudo-Time" Crystal appeared. Ai Hyperion Λ is part of this very Crystal and thanks to it, she can see all the "possible endings" for humanity after Project Stigma.

Yae Sakura was a miko of Yae Village. Despite her devotion, hard work, and wishes for the village's well-being, her ill sister was ultimately sacrificed and used in a barbaric ritual to try and bring rain during the droughts. Despite her sister's last wish to not let fate burden her, Sakura gradually began to feel hatred towards the village. Yae Sakura was born in Yae Village, Shinano, Japan, to the Yae family, and had a natural stigmata. She also had a younger sister by the name of Yae Rin who was often sickly—a stark contrast to Sakura herself. Thus, she made it her duty to take care of Rin, and the two were practically inseparable. That was until, a drought plagued the village, prompting her father to choose to sacrifice Rin. Unwilling to part with her sister, the young Sakura made plans to escape with her sister out of the village. However, her father discovers this and has the villagers hamstring Rin prior to the actual ritual. When Sakura was called up to deal the final blow, she cut Rin's bindings and tried to run, only to realize that Rin could no longer use her legs. Her father then grabbed her hand and drove the blade through Rin, while Rin's last wishes of "being a good miko" will haunt Sakura for years. When Sakura was younger, she had an unshakeable will to do everything possible for the sake of her younger sister. At a young age, she was already burdened with the layers of responsibilities and handled them well, finding satisfaction in her duties, especially concerning her sister. However, after Rin died, Sakura's world shattered, and she became cold and detached, performing her newfound duties with diligence and grace as a miko simply because of Rin's dying wish. It was only until she met Kallen, did she start to hope and feel again, for something she wanted to protect in this world.

Veliona, also known as Seele Vollerei (or Starchasm Nyx). A being awakened inside Seele Vollerei, originally referred to by the latter as "the other me". She's related to the stigma Seele has on her chest and vowed to protect the frail girl—the meaning of her existence—from all harm that should come her way. Acts violent, cruel, and occasionally even sadistic to her enemies, but is straightforward in conveying her genuine feelings of goodwill to those she cares about. Still, she prefers fighting and violent solutions to solve problems, especially to protect Seele and her friends. Dislikes books and easily fall asleep while reading. Proved herself to be a bit of a prankster when she swapped out the ketchup for a spicy chili sauce she liked which Sin Mal in turn hated. More recently, it has been shown that Dark Seele is actually anxious, pessimistic, and has low self-confidence, as noted by the Herrscher of Sentience. A being born from the desire for protection, her identity revolves around being Seele's protector. As Seele continues to grow more independent and mature, Dark Seele is starting to lose her sense of self. She's anxious about being forgotten by Seele, fearing that she will get left behind in the future, therefore she still clings to the fact that Seele might still need help once in a while. She holds Seele in high regard, viewing her as everything that she's not; gentle and caring, someone that everybody likes. This in turn makes her view herself negatively and if Seele's friends find out who she is, they will dislike her thus making her even more withdrawn from Seele's social circle. Since she only knows how to solve problems through fights, she's clumsy and socially awkward especially when dealing with Seele's friends, particularly Bronya Zaychik and Kiana Kaslana.

Raven (originally named Natasha Cioara) was born in Siberia. Following the Second Honkai War, in which she gained strong Honkai resistance, she was selected by the Gray Serpent and was forced to leave her brother behind. Natasha received training and became a mercenary subject to the World Serpent. In 2000, when the core of the Herrscher of the Void was out of control, a huge amount of Honkai energy overwhelmed the entirety of Siberia and caused its people to become corrupted. Thanks to the sacrifice of Cecilia Schariac, most people, including Cioara and her brother, had survived under the protection of the Holy Blood of Schariac. However, Cioara gained resistance to Honkai and was taken away by the Gray Serpent, and was trained as a combatant of World Serpent. Her appearance underwent many changes during that time and she'd be given the codename "Raven". As a mercenary, Natasha is a practical individual with a no-nonsense attitude, who believes in a strict work ethic in which a job is a job and must be accomplished to its fullest in spite of any personal reservations or dangers to herself. Befitting of a mercenary, Natasha holds no true loyalty to any cause or faction besides whoever's paying top dollar—which most often happens to be the very organization that raised her. Natasha also holds a great sense of respect for the Sire of World Serpent. Natasha has been shown to have a penchant for dry humor, fine alcohol, and the occasional philosophizing. But perhaps the most surprising part of this ruthless mercenary is her caring nature, possessing a soft spot for children displaced by the Honkai with nowhere to go, much like herself when she was taken in by World Serpent. Natasha takes in many such children under her care and tutelage, and although she sees to it that they are taught how to survive on their own, above all else she tries to make sure that they are able to live their lives as comfortably as possible with a place to call home.

Eden was the 4th Flame-Chaser and the previous owner of the Elysian Realm under its name "Golden Courtyard," and later to which she gave to Dr. Mobius. Eden is quite calm most of the time. She speaks in soft and velvety tones, with matching kindness. Despite her subdued demeanor, she is confident in her skills. She says she was born a star, and that she's always believed that as long as she kept improving, people would see her brilliance. She is often seen drinking wine. Being incredibly rich, Eden is able to be really generous. For her, it isn't a big deal to give out gems and gold to those she appreciates (including her fans). After the 7th Herrscher ravaged Australia, she was on the frontline of disaster relief. She even founded an organization for the cause. After this though, she felt her world was gone forever. The fragment of her memory in Elysian Realm still recites lines from her previous performances. Not much is said about Eden's past other than her stardom and fall from the spotlight. As a novice, she was very determined to reach the top. Apparently, she was really picky about venues and bookings, which made people think she had a huge ego. She cut ties with the company that managed her and secured a performance on her own. The first venue she got a spot on was a small one for charity. Some of the people who attended recorded her singing and posted it online, which garnered a lot of attention. Professionals praised her talent, and said she would rise to popularity at some point. There were also critics, of course. Despite the challenges on her path, Eden did rise to the highest stage. Her generosity and talent brought in more and more fans until she was the biggest name of her time. She lived in extravagant homes, and drank the finest wine, all while improving with each performance. But Honkai ended that life.

Kuchisake-onna (literally Mouth-Slitted Woman) is a recurring ghost of the Gakkou no Kaidan. The most common version of he story in Japan, is that she was a woman who decided to have a plastic surgery, but the surgery went wrong, leaving her mouth torn, ear to ear. She was originally going to was to be the ghost of the third episode of the Ghost Stories anime, but the episode was cancelled just days before it was scheduled to air, when many people complained to Fuji TV because they thought the facial feature looked like a cleft palette. A support group for people with such a disability met with management at Fuji TV. The episode was replaced for that airing with a hastily-prepared clip show. Only the preview remains. It is unknown what Kuchisake-onnas mouth was to look like in Ghost Stories, viewers only get a pink flash of it in the 15 second promo. She did appear in the ending credits but due to the low quality its hard to tell what her mouth really looks like. It appears that she might have fangs or crooked or sharp teeth and that her mouth extends all the was from her lips to her ears. In the 1995 movie however her slit mouth resembles that more of the mouth of Kuchisake-onna depicted in the 2012 movie Kuchisake-onna Returns where her mouth and lips are fully torn off and she has extra rows of sharp and crooked teeth.

Aston Machan is a student at Tracen Academy. Aston Machan is an umamusume who carries a Ma-chan doll and will come close to anyone who has a camera. Her hobby is recording voice memos and her dream is to become a mascot that travels the world. Behind her fluffy and plush words, there seems to be a wish of hers...?

Santo Crown is a student at Tracen Academy. Satono Crown is a bright and determined big sister who lives on two bases, one in Hong Kong and the other in Japan. She has a nature that burns more when adversity strikes and sometimes solves things as brilliantly as magic. She carries the hope of the Satono Family as one of their strong leaders. She is lovingly nicknamed "Crow-chan" (Kura-chan).

Having undergone the "Tactical Up" procedure that Ingrid provided them, the members of Absolute received various upgrades to make them more effective in combat. Vesti in particular can now wield more weapons at once and is shielded by a cloak that covers her entire body. Vesti has been strengthened through the Tactical Upgrade plan. While she is still quick to cry and gets scared easily, she has gained the strength and resolve to keep moving forward. While most people in the Ark know Vesti as a remorseless harbinger of death, she's actually very timid and meek, but is very nice. Only those who get on her bad side will ever know why she is called the "Reaper". She wishes to make friends, but her reputation combined with her poor social skills makes that difficult. When one gets to know her, Vesti is actually very sweet and easy to get along with. Though she used to detest being picked on by Eunhwa, thanks to Anis, she found a way to deal emotional damage back.
