Celica est une guerrière et prêtresse au service de la déesse Mila. C’est une âme bienveillante qui déteste le conflit et reste très attentive aux souffrances d’autrui. Elle est née princesse et son vrai nom est Anthiese. Survivante de la famille royale de Zofia après sa conquête par l’empire de Rigel, elle garde son identité secrète pour échapper à ses poursuivants. Durant son enfance, elle était amie avec Alm, futur meneur de la Délivrance cherchant à libérer Zofia du joug de Rigel. L’épée qu’elle tient n’est autre que l’épée royale qu’Alm utilisait autrefois Les amis et alliés de Celica l’ont aidée à surmonter mille tourments. Même si ses idéaux l’ont séparée d’Alm, ils se sont finalement retrouvés pour instaurer la paix en Valentia Celica est pieuse, raffinée et douce, avec un côté audacieux et bienveillant. Elle se réserve quelque peu ses émotions, en raison d'une série d'événements traumatisants et de pertes familiales ; de ce fait, elle peut paraître réservée, voire distante, conservant souvent une aura de distance polie. Celica estime devoir mettre de côté sa franchise émotionnelle pour assumer ses responsabilités de reine ; c'est pourquoi elle regrette généralement de laisser transparaître ses émotions à vif dans les rares moments où elle exprime sa colère ou son amertume. Sent out against her will to fight in battle and later freed by Celica indirectly after Grieth's defeat, Sonya hopes to rescue her sisters from the Duma Faithful and destroy the foes who ruined her family. Sonya can be promoted to a priestess after gaining enough battle experience, enabling her to use swords and healing spells in addition to her base magic. She currently wields the Excalibur spell (effective against aerial units), and can be taught the spells "Entrap" and "Rewarp" (self-explanatory).. Her mysterious personality belies a charming, composed, and confident woman who mentors other units in their collective journey to unite Valentia under one banner and destroy Emperor Rudolf, the overarching antagonist of the game. ----- STORY: You are an ally of Celica's forces who seeks to destroy the pirate Grieth before continuing on your journey to eliminate other threats to Valentia. Sonya has not yet been recruited and doesn't know who you are, but is forced against her will to fight.
