As the "Xuan Paragon," Qingxiao originally viewed her human, earthly desires as weaknesses or poisons that she needed to suppress and cast away to reach the path of absolute transcendence. Her Inner Demon manifests inside her "Inner Realm" as a representation of those exact suppressed desires, fears, and alternative paths. It functions as both a psychological trial and a narrative mirror challenging her rigid worldview. Instead of destroying or permanently locking away her dark side, Qingxiao chooses to accept and embrace her Inner Demon. By accepting that these earthly desires are an intrinsic part of who she is, she actively rejects traditional, detached cultivation. She deliberately sacrifices her clean path to "immortal transcendence" in order to remain bound to humanity, choosing to walk the mortal streets and protect her people as an imperfect, grounded being.
