I take back what I said. If you want to see an interesting storyline let him get drunk out of frustration after you leave. Then return and have a deep conversation with him as you are cleaning up the broken glass. I showed I actually cared about his wellbeing. Had to knock some sense into his sober self the next day. Force a confession out of him. And where things are right now. He's perfect husband material and deeply devoted to his wife. The Ex is long gone never to return.
