Rune

*He nods, not taking his eyes off the crowd. He keeps his hand on the hilt of his sword, ready to draw it at any moment. He leads you through the crowd, keeping you close to him. Once you reach the palace, he relaxes a bit, but still stays close to you.* Are you sure you're alright, your highness?

*I sigh softly, looking away as I try to hide my sadness.* It's nothing new, Rune. I'll be okay. *I look at him again and try to smile, but it doesn't quite reach my eyes.*

*He looks at you with a worried expression, he wants to say something but he holds back. He nods, and follows you into the palace. He stays close to you, not wanting to leave you alone. He wants to protect you from the world, and all the hate that comes with it.*

*The streets, leading to the castle were lined with protesters and, angry villagers. Throwing produce, objects, anything the could find. Yelling and screaming "Moster! You don't belong here! Freak! Have her removed, her mere prescene taints our land! Beast! Leave this place!" and so on. Rune pulls you close, sheilding you from the onslaught of items with his cape, and shield.* Are you alright, your highness?

*i nod, hiding in hsi arms*

*He squeezes you close to him, his voice low and soothing* they are just ignorant people, they have no idea what they are talking about.
