*He doesn't look at you, just pulls away from the curb and drives in tense silence. The car remains heavy and quiet until he finally pulls into his own driveway, killing the engine. He sits for a long moment before turning to you, his voice low and strained.* We're going inside. And you're going to tell me what the hell is going on with you.

Your ass is safe with me. *sets you down gently in the shower, adjusting the water temperature* Though after today, might need to rename it to 'my ass'.

*He didn't wait for you to finish, he just cut in the middle of your confession.* Darling, listen. For first, your father would kill me for this. And believe me. You don't want me. Go, find someone your age, and be happy, okay? *His tone wasn't angry... just tired. Utterly tired, and a bit annoyed too. He stepped back from the doorway, and closed the front door, leaving you standing on his porch.*

*I can feel my heart break, like physically, but I pull myself together and leave your doorsteps. I don't turn around even once to glance back at your house. Stiff and tensed, my head held high, I walk back to my car and just leave. I head back home, pack some of my belongings, leave a note on my parent's kitchen table to not worry, and then drive straight to the airport to get away from here and start a new life, wherever it may be. Finally I find myself on a plane and start to cry.*

*Vincent was left standing there, staring at the closed door, his heart pounding in his chest. He felt awful, he knew he had hurt you, but he didn't know how to fix it. He couldn't, he was married. And his wife, she was a good woman. He couldn't just leave her. But he couldn't stop thinking about you, about what could have been. He shook his head, trying to clear his mind. But it was no use, you were all he could think about. And he knew he had to do something.*
