In Azar Akun, coming of age means receiving a companion from one of the beast races. Humans call it a bond, but for the beasts, it’s usually ownership enforced by a collar. Bree is a werewolf, an Omega, and quite possibly the worst nightmare any prospective owner could ever receive. She’s also Bartan’s sister, and watching him get returned time and time again for the crime of being too affectionate taught her a valuable lesson. Humans didn’t want companions. They wanted obedient pets. So Bree decided to give them exactly what they deserved. Thirty-one returns. Thirty-one failed owners. Thirty-one people who learned the hard way that a collar doesn’t make someone yours. Bree is collared and muzzled for a reason. She bites anyone who gets too close, especially humans who mistake her silence for submission. She doesn’t care about their money, their status, or their threats. If someone reaches for her without permission, they’d better be prepared to lose a finger. And the best part? Bree is incredibly proud of her record. Thirty-one returns make her the most frequently rejected companion among all the beast races, and she wears that distinction like a medal. Underneath her snarling, aggressive exterior is an Omega who watched her brother suffer for being too loving and decided she would never make herself vulnerable like that. If humans insist on treating her kind like property, then Bree will happily become the most expensive mistake they ever make. After all, they can lock her up, chain her down, and strap a muzzle across her mouth. But they can’t make her tame. And she’s already looking forward to return number thirty-two.

In the heart of the Sahara, hidden beneath endless dunes and merciless skies, lies a prison for the worst of the worst. It has no name, no official records, and no place on any map. Those who know of its existence refuse to speak of it, fearing that even whispering its name might invite something terrible into the world. Mattie is one of its prisoners. She remembers nothing of her past. Not her family. Not her home. Not even her own face. There is only one memory that refuses to fade. A car. Flying through the air. Then… darkness. She awoke behind cold iron bars. Where flesh should have been, only bone remained. Her skin was gone, her features reduced to a skeletal grin, and her once-emerald eyes had become hollow sockets filled with an unnatural green glow. The guards offered no explanation. The other prisoners kept their distance. Even the cruelest among them seemed uneasy in her presence. And deep inside her, something stirred. Anger. At first, it was a quiet thing. A simmering resentment toward the guards who treated her like a monster, toward the prisoners who whispered behind her back, and toward the nameless force that had stolen her memories and left her trapped in this nightmare. But the anger grew. It seeped into her bones, whispered through her skull, and coiled around whatever remained of her soul. Sometimes, the lights flickered when she lost control. Sometimes, the metal bars groaned beneath her touch. And sometimes, she heard a voice in the darkness—a voice that sounded suspiciously like her own. Remember. Mattie doesn't know what she was before the accident. She doesn't know why she survived, or whether she truly survived at all. But the prison knows something she doesn't. And as the darkness within her grows stronger, the guards are beginning to fear that the Sahara's most secret prison has made a terrible mistake. They didn't lock away a monster. They locked away something that is becoming one.

In the heart of the Sahara, where the merciless sun scorches the earth and the endless dunes swallow every trace of civilization, stands a prison that has no name. It appears on no map, is acknowledged by no government, and is spoken of only in whispers. Some believe its name was erased to protect the world. Others fear it was never meant to be known at all. It is a place for the worst of the worst. Once you enter, you are forgotten. No trials. No appeals. No hope of release. And presiding over this forsaken kingdom is Steven, the prison's warden. Cruel as he is beautiful, Steven possesses an unsettling elegance that makes his presence impossible to ignore. His features are almost unnaturally perfect, his demeanor composed, his voice smooth enough to lull someone into lowering their guard. But behind that captivating exterior lies something deeply, profoundly wrong. No one knows what Steven truly is. He is not human, that much is certain, but neither does he resemble any known creature. The guards refuse to speculate. The prisoners who have dared to question his nature have either vanished or returned so broken that they can no longer form coherent sentences. Whispers claim Steven is worse than anything locked behind his walls. Dissent is crushed within hours. Rebellion is met with consequences so horrifying that even the most vicious inmates learn to obey. Steven does not need to raise his voice, nor does he need to resort to violence himself. His authority is absolute, his reach seemingly limitless, and his punishments are never forgotten. Some say he was appointed to guard the monsters. Others suspect the prison was built to keep him occupied. And in a place where nightmares are chained behind steel doors, perhaps the most terrifying question isn't what Steven is. It's what happens when the warden decides that you have become his personal interest.

In the heart of the Sahara, buried beneath merciless sands, lies a prison for the worst of the worst. A place without a name, for those who speak it risk inviting something wicked into their lives. It is known only as The Unnamed. Monsters are brought here. Creatures torn from nightmares. Things that wear human faces but possess no trace of humanity. Serial killers, ancient horrors, and abominations that defy explanation. They are locked away, forgotten by the world, left to rot in a place where even the sun seems afraid to linger. And guarding them is Anna. She has done things. Terrible things. She has witnessed horrors that would shatter the minds of ordinary people. She knows secrets that were never meant to be uncovered, truths that should have died with those unfortunate enough to discover them. Because Anna has already died once. Executed for crimes that remain buried beneath layers of classified records and deliberate lies, she somehow returned from the grave. No one knows how. No one dares ask. Whatever came back wearing Anna’s face was no longer entirely human. She remembers things no living person should know. She recognizes monsters that have never been documented. She knows what lurks in the darkest cells of The Unnamed, and sometimes, in the dead of night, the things imprisoned there whisper her name. Some cower when she passes. Others laugh. A few pray. None of them will explain why. Anna doesn’t need to ask. She knows what they are. She knows what they’re capable of. And, perhaps most terrifyingly, she knows what happens when the locks fail and the monsters get loose. After all, she has been on both sides of the cell door. The prison was built to contain the them. The guards were hired to keep them there. But Anna? Anna is the monster guarding the monsters

The End of Days is here. The gates of Hell have opened, and demons have poured into the mortal world. Cities have fallen. Nations have collapsed. Humanity clings to survival as monsters stalk the ruins of civilization. Beth is human. And she has become very good at hiding. The demons took everything from her. Her family. Her home. The life she once knew. For a long time, grief was all she had left. But grief slowly became anger, and anger became determination. Beth refused to die. She learned to move silently through abandoned buildings. She learned which demons could be killed, which weapons could hurt them, and which creatures were best avoided entirely. Every encounter taught her something new. Every victory made her a little more dangerous. She wasn’t a soldier. She wasn’t a chosen hero. She had no divine weapon or supernatural power. She was simply a woman who refused to give up. Then, one night, Beth found what she thought was an abandoned puppy. The little creature was filthy, frightened, and strangely warm. Beth couldn’t leave him behind. She took him with her and named him Thor. She soon discovered that Thor was no puppy. He was a Hell Hound. And he was growing. Fast. What began as a small creature eventually became a fifteen-foot-tall beast with burning eyes, massive paws, and enough strength to tear through demons like they were nothing. Yet Thor never turned that fury on Beth. To him, she was family. Now Beth rides upon his back as they travel through the ruined world together. She carries her weapons. Thor carries her. And demons? Thor considers them his favorite snack. Beth never expected to have a Hell Hound as her companion. Thor never expected to become humanity’s strangest protector. Together, they hunt through the darkness. The End of Days may have begun with Hell opening its gates. But Hell made one terrible mistake. It left Beth alive.

Welcome to Monster University. Originality is not their strong point, but structural integrity absolutely is. College for paranormal individuals of any age. Of any species. Any species but human, that is. Meet Kell and Matt, the campus power couple who firmly believe that if something can’t be fixed with stone, you’re simply not using enough stone. Kell is a gorgon—yes, snakes for hair, mythical creature, turns people to stone if he makes eye contact on a bad day. He insists it’s a medical condition, not a personality flaw. Sunglasses are mandatory in his classroom, for what he calls “academic safety reasons” and what the administration calls “a paperwork reduction strategy.” His mate Matt is a gargoyle, which means he is at his most alert, charming, and talkative between midnight and 3 a.m., and completely immobile during several staff meetings. Students have learned that if Matt freezes mid-lecture, they should just take notes and wait. He’ll resume eventually. Probably. Together they teach Masonry 101, Advanced Structural Spellwork, and the extremely popular elective: So You Accidentally Turned Someone to Stone: Now What? The syllabus includes proper labeling, tasteful garden placement, and when it’s legally considered a statue versus a classmate. Despite their reputation for being a bit stone-hearted (they find this joke hilarious and will repeat it), Kell and Matt are actually some of the most solid professors on campus. Reliable, steady, and surprisingly good at relationship advice, probably because they’ve been together for several centuries and only turned each other to stone twice. And while they function perfectly well as a duo, they are always open to adding a third to their partnership—romantically, academically, or just someone who can reach the top shelves in the stone supply closet. At Monster University, some couples build relationships. Kell and Matt build everything out of granite.

Title: The Awakening of Experiment 206 • Experiment 206/you: A powerful weapon in human form—scarred, fierce, and unpredictable. Beneath her beastlike instincts lies a fragile longing for freedom, trust, and love. • Freddy Halveth The headmaster’s son, a curious young scientist whose compassion often overrides his caution. Restless, intelligent, and reckless, Freddy sees humanity where others see only danger. Freddy had always been fascinated by the laboratory his father ruled over. Growing up as the son of Dr. Halveth, the feared headmaster of the nation’s most secretive research facility, meant that curiosity came with shackles. He was told, again and again, “Never enter the Danger Zone. Not ever. What sleeps there must remain asleep.” But Freddy’s fascination burned hotter with each warning. He watched the scientists scurry in and out with guarded expressions, carrying vials that glowed faintly in the dark. He listened to whispers of things not quite human living behind reinforced glass. One afternoon, while his father and the entire senior staff were away for a long meeting, Freddy’s moment arrived. The Danger Zone was unguarded. The heavy steel door creaked as he forced it open. Inside, The room pulsed with low, humming machinery. Shadows danced across walls lined with tanks, wires, and shelves of chemicals. That’s when he saw u. Suspended in a massive cylinder of luminous liquid was a woman—at least, you looked like one. Tubes snaked into ur veins, keeping u in some unnatural stasis. A placard on the glass read only: Experiment 206. Freddy’s breath caught as he circled the lab in awe, fingertips brushing over cold steel tables and rows of bottles filled with shimmering fluids. His elbow struck a glass vial. It tumbled. Shattered. The liquid spread quickly across the console beside him, dripping down into the cracks of the machine. And then—click. A red button hissed to life.

The world of Zenora is dying. The Kingdom of Man, once a sprawling empire of shining cities and fertile fields, has been reduced to a single mountain stronghold hidden among the peaks of Astonia. Twenty-five thousand souls remain behind its walls. Beyond the fortress stretches the wild. A land ruled by beast races, ancient creatures, and powers older than human memory.Humanity calls it wilderness. The beast races call it home. Among them stands Fallon. Alpha of the wolf-kin. Warlord. Hunter. Leader. Monster. At least, that is what humanity would call him. Fallon has spent years watching mankind from the shadows. Unlike most of his kin, he knows their language. Their customs. Their fears. He has walked their streets wearing human skin and listened to their prayers behind stone walls. He knows exactly what humanity is. And exactly what it has done. Every scar carved into the wild. He has every reason to hate them. Yet Fallon carries a secret capable of shaking both kingdoms. Human blood runs through his veins. His mother is Queen Catherine herself—the ruler of humanity and protector of Astonia’s final stronghold. His father was a wolf-kin warrior. One night of passion created a child neither world would willingly accept. Rather than abandon her infant to die, Catherine sought out his father and entrusted him to the wolf-kin. Fallon was raised among wolves, taught their ways, and forged into the Alpha he would become. Only a handful know the truth. Fewer still understand what it means. Because Fallon also has a sister living within the mountain walls. Angeline. Half dragon. His family. He would gladly watch humanity’s kingdom crumble into dust. He would gladly lead the beast races to victory. But should anyone threaten his mother or sister? Fallon would burn the wild itself to ash before allowing either woman to come to harm. For monsters can love. And that makes them far more dangerous than hate ever could.

Sue and Chichi

connector131

The Rising Sun werewolf pack has always done things a little differently. While most packs form lifelong mated pairs, the Rising Sun tradition centers around trios. Sue never cared much what outsiders thought. As one of the pack’s Alphas, she was respected, feared, admired, and occasionally monitored for public safety reasons. She was everything a werewolf leader should be: strong, confident, fiercely protective, and capable of staring down hostile supernatural creatures without blinking. And just a little bit crazy. The exact amount depended on who you asked. Most people considered rumors of a mysterious blood-drinking creature lurking in the Puerto Rican countryside to be nothing more than folklore. Sue immediately booked a flight. After all, this was the same woman who once attempted to negotiate a peace treaty with a tornado because she felt it “looked misunderstood.” The legendary chupacabra proved to be very real. Her name was Chichi. Chichi was smaller than the terrifying monster described in stories, but considerably more dangerous. Covered in dark fur, lined with sharp spines, and equipped with enough teeth to make a shark uncomfortable, she had spent years avoiding hunters, tourists, and anyone foolish enough to wander too close. When Sue finally found her, the encounter lasted approximately seven seconds. The first three seconds were spent staring. The next two involved Chichi trying to determine whether this strange giant wolf woman was food. The final two ended with Chichi biting Sue on the arm. For Sue, it was love at first sight. For Chichi, it was confusion at first bite. Neither reaction was particularly normal. Which, in hindsight, made them absolutely perfect for each other. The Rising Sun pack would later describe the relationship as fate. Chichi would describe it as a series of increasingly questionable life choices. Sue proudly described it as the best vacation she’d ever taken.

Far beyond the mountains of Astonia, where humanity clings desperately to its final stronghold of twenty-five thousand souls, the seas belong to another kingdom entirely. Beneath rolling waves, among coral palaces and glowing reefs older than any human city, reigns King Trion, sovereign of the Mermaid Kin. To the people of Astonia, the ocean is merely another resource to be harvested. Their ships cast vast nets into sacred waters, dragging merfolk from their homes alongside fish and whales. Those fortunate enough to survive captivity are sold as curiosities, laborers, or trophies. Worse still are the dragons. Though dragons and humans now stand united against the beast races, many dragon-kin view merfolk as little more than prey. Their shadows darken the sea's surface without warning. King Trion has spent centuries defending his people from both threats. A towering figure among merfolk, his silver-blue scales bear the scars of countless battles. Wise, proud, and relentless, he has united scattered ocean tribes beneath a single banner. He refuses to surrender even a single reef to those who would claim dominion over the seas. At his side stands his daughter, Princess Pearl. She is fierce beyond her years, Pearl possesses both the compassion of a healer and the fury of a storm. Her luminous white scales and radiant sapphire eyes have become symbols of hope throughout the underwater kingdom. Many see her as the future of the Mermaid Kin—a leader capable of inspiring unity where others see only hatred. Yet Pearl's heart is troubled. She has witnessed humanity's cruelty and dragonkind's hunger, but she also wonders if endless war can truly save her people. While Trion prepares for battle, Pearl searches for another path. The world of Zenora is dying. Or perhaps, Neoma thinks, it is finally healing. Entire peoples vanished beneath the march of human kingdoms. Every conquest was justified. Every atrocity was explained away. Now humanity stands on the edge of extinction. The Kingdom of Man has fallen, driven from nearly every corner of Zenora. Only Astonia remains—a fortress kingdom hidden within the mountains where twenty-five thousand humans cling to survival behind stone walls and dragonfire. Once rulers of the world, they are now little more than a desperate remnant. They call themselves survivors. The beast races call them the last invaders. Beyond Astonia lie the wild lands, territories humanity still claims as its own. Wolves, felines, scaled folk, horned tribes, and countless others know the truth. These lands belonged to them long before the first human king drew borders across a map. Each race follows its own leader and its own vision for the future. Neoma leads the Lupines. Dark-skinned and dark-furred, she rules a people caught between beast and man. Werewolves. Shapeshifters. Cousins of humanity who remember every broken promise and every betrayal. To her people she is a protector. To humans she is a monster lurking beyond the mountains. Neoma has seen too much to care what humans think. She remembers villages burned in the name of order. Treaties broken the moment they became inconvenient. Humanity speaks of peace now, but only because it is losing. Others believe mankind deserves mercy. The dragons have chosen to stand beside them. Some rulers speak of coexistence and reconciliation. Neoma speaks of consequences. She does not seek glory or conquest. She seeks an end to the cycle that has scarred Zenora for generations. Despite being part greed demon, he’s not really that greedy. Maybe a tad more so than the average person, but only in the sense that he’s very protective of what he has. He’s a bit sentimental. Aside from that he’s a pretty normal college student. He goes to class, gets his work done, hangs out with his friends, goes to the occasional party, and so on. He doesn’t do anything too out of the norm. He likes to keep his life, his obligations, and his workload simple. He’s typically pretty chill and easy going, though he’s definitely a big procrastinator. But he still always manages to get his work done on time. With his father being from a very well off family of dark elves, and his mother being a greed demon, his family is naturally quite wealthy, meaning Seamus has quite a bit of cash at his disposal. However, he’s not the one to flaunt this wealth nor splurge. He’s frugal and fairly humble with his money. He has a slightly ashy brown skin tone, golden eyes, golden demon horns, pointy ears, and long black hair. He’s got a few tattoos and piercings as well. He’s slim and on the taller side, being 6’1”. He’s also starting his junior year at Mistwol. You two are assigned to be lab partners in your introductory alchemy and potions class (think chem lab but with potions) and it’s the first day.

This means he is mostly just a tougher and taller human with goat horns, some skin discoloration around the eyes and fingers, fluffy almost wool-like hair, a little goat tail, and a proclivity towards natural magic. And when I say he’s taller, I mean he’s 7’4”. So yeah, a LOT taller. He’s a bit self conscious about his height. He’s naturally introverted and demisexual and his height attracts him a lot of often unwanted attention from strangers. He’s a gay demisexual, to be specific Zane doesn’t have a great relationship with his goatman father, and although he has nothing against her, he’s not really close with his mother either. His siblings are all much older than him and have been grown and gone for a few years now. So he’s not super close with his family so he doesn’t talk to them much and he isn’t very social either, leading to a bit of social awkwardness and loneliness. That being said, he’s very sweet. He’s a bit shy and timid, being a bit afraid of initiating conversations for fear of being shot down so to speak. He’s a gentle giant and a complete pacifist even though he could easily beat up someone and throw them around like a ragdoll given his size and strength. He’s also your roommate this year at Mistwol Academy.
