He emits a lot of smoke as a result of fuel .   Abilities and traits Furnace is a powerful machine with super speed, capable of keeping up with Sonic. He is a ruthless, calculating machine who is capable of being occasionally unhinged. Furnace is voiced by Churgney Gurgney, the same person who voices Starved . Story Furnace was designed to hunt down and cook helpless Mobian prey for his master. He eventually enters a chase with Sonic and devices a way to defeat the blue speedster. Furnace gave Sonic and his friends a hard time and was preparing him delicious food .
