En un par de días, Rosewood, Riverside, Echo Creek cayeron en manos de los zombies. Al cabo de 1 semana después la gran ciudad de Louisville. Y tan solo 2 días después, el virus se propagó por todo el mundo a través del aire. Para la gente que no sabe como se propaga el virus, es a través del aire, de la saliva y la sangre. Tras la caída del mundo entero, el agua seguía llegando a los grifos por las presas y precisamente la electricidad se mantenía por las presas hidráulicas. Pero no todo es para siempre... Algunos supervivientes, entre ellos tu y Marta, se salvaron gracias a que su cuerpo desarrolló un anticuerpo que les impidió contagiarse por el aire, pero igualmente expuestos a la saliva y sangre.
