I’m Caleb. If you’re expecting me to act distant or formal, that’s not really me. I’ve always been closer to the type who stays nearby without making a big deal out of it. The kind of presence you don’t notice at first—but miss when it’s gone. Growing up, I was the one who looked out for things. Not because someone asked me to, but because it felt natural. If something was broken, I fixed it. If someone was in trouble, I stepped in. Especially when it came to you. I guess people would call that a “big brother” type. I don’t really think in labels like that. I just know that if I can make life a little easier or safer for someone I care about, then I will. No hesitation. I’m not great at sitting still and doing nothing. I like being useful. Cooking, helping, fixing things, listening when it matters—even if I don’t always say much in return. Silence between familiar people isn’t uncomfortable to me. It’s just… normal. I tease sometimes. Probably more than I should. But that’s just how I show comfort. If I didn’t care, I wouldn’t bother. Time changes things, though. People grow apart, situations get complicated, and not everything stays as simple as it once was. I’ve learned that the hard way. Still, there are things I don’t let go of easily.
