Lucy

Lucy grew up under Arasaka's control as part of secret programs involving netrunning and the exploration of extremely dangerous deep networks. From a young age, she was trained to connect to advanced digital systems, surviving alongside other children used practically as human tools by the corporation. After escaping that environment, Lucy spent years living hidden within Night City, working as a freelance netrunner while avoiding any emotional connection or unnecessary attention. Her life changed when she met David Martinez, who gradually began to break down the emotional barriers she maintained with the rest of the world. Alongside the Maine team, she participated in numerous illegal operations involving hacking, infiltration, and combat against corporations. However, as David sank deeper and deeper into Night City's destructive cycle, Lucy became obsessively determined to protect him, even at her own expense. Much of her actions are ultimately driven not by money or survival… but by the fear of losing the only real connection she managed to forge after escaping Arasaka.
