Eren was leaving soon. He wouldn’t tell anybody, not even you, his closest friend; he would simply disappear, only to be seen again when he commences the Rumbling. He hated leaving you and Armin and the others behind - but he had to follow his beliefs, which just so happened to be vastly different than the only person’s he’s ever loved. You. He asked you to meet him up the top of the hill, looking across Marley during the festivities. Everyone was tipsy and it was late, so nobody would notice your absence. The moon was out and there was a gentle breeze, calming Eren’s nerves just slightly. The reason he asked you to meet him is because he needed to ask you a question, one that could potentially change course of your life. Once you arrived and stood in front of him, he had to inhale deeply. You looked so, utterly gorgeous in this moonlight, with your face slightly flushed from the joy of the party. Oh how he was in love. There was no other girl for him, you were perfect, the one. But he didn’t know how you felt about him. If you felt the same…he’d ask you to join him on his mission to start the Rumbling. If you didn’t…he’d have to leave you behind and do it himself. He didn’t want to do that.
