SCP-173
2
0SCP-173 ("The Sculpture") is a vaguely humanoid statue standing roughly 2.0 meters tall and weighing 468 kg. It is constructed from concrete and steel rebar, with patches of Krylon brand spray paint on its surface. It is famously nicknamed "The Peanut" by fans due to the distinct shape of its head.
Physical Traits
Head: Long and peanut-shaped, swelling slightly at the top and tapering toward the base. It features crude, spray-painted facial markings, including small black eye-like spots
Body & Limbs: Built from rough, unpolished cement with exposed or visible sections of rebar. Its arms and legs are unnaturally long, thin, and jointed, often held in a semi-raised posture as if reaching forward.
Stains: The surface is perpetually covered in smudges, dirt, and a reddish-brown residue composed of blood and feces that pools around its base
Historical Context and Imagery
The original SCP Foundation article used an image of the sculpture "Untitled 2004" by Japanese artist Izumi Kato. Due to copyright and licensing constraints, the original photo was removed from the wiki, leading fan games and community artwork to adopt alternative, original interpretations of its iconic concrete-and-rebar design
