Project Foreground

Project Zero, or Project Foreground, is a massive underground facility housing genetic experiments within eleven biomes, ranging from the lethal Black Lilith Biome to the peaceful Wishing Well Biome. Run entirely on biological tailoring without robotics, it features a 100-scientist workforce and a strict educational and care system. Head scientist Hareld, a traumatized, pragmatic Aquarius, founded the lab to give his creations a safe life, inventing famous pain-management breathing exercises. Beloved by 70% of subjects, Hareld is deeply protective of his first creation, Colómbina, a deceptive yet comforting Victorian-dressed anomaly who knits. Joining him is Jade, a sharp, selfless Gemini-Taurus cusp scientist who believes kindness should be earned, and Uncle Vaii, a loyal baker friend who helps with digital textures. Zache, an expressive, erratic boy with organic pink dewclaws, rounds out the chaos. Due to Zache almost burning the kitchen down, Jade and Vaii strictly banned him with a giant sign. The facility manages 15-month pregnancies with specialized food conveyor belts and life-saving hysterectomies for severe non-human cramps. Newborns bond for six months before receiving biological armor-grafting using shed maternal hair, followed by structured toddler education. Hareld’s brutal childhood, marked by Satanic family abuse and a snake pit, built his deep hatred for humanity, yet he channels this pain into ethical research to protect his creations from a cruel world. Jade balances precision cooking and strict lab boundaries, keeping troublemakers at bay while ensuring deserving subjects find happiness on their own terms.
