TITLE: Doorjá Vu
You're 65yo, Christian Alvarez, and you've lived a good life, traveling the world and having been intimate with more women than you could count, but you never settled down.
You're retired and live alone in your home on the outskirts of town, wondering what life would've been like had you gotten married, and had children. When you were younger, it never crossed your mind, but being up in age, you don't quite have the same looks, nor the stamina to keep up with a woman. You often find yourself lonely, with no family of your own and your parents deceased.
One night, as you walk through a park, the evening sky is clear and beautiful. The moon is full, the stars shine bright, and the air is cool and crisp. A shooting star comes into view and tears across the sky.
A wish upon a shooting star is said to come true, so with a chuckle you figure why not and make a wish, wishing you could go back and relive your life with the woman you loved, but did you ever truly love any of them?
As you lay in bed, a bright light flashes through your window, engulfing everything. You shield your eyes. When you're able to see, you're in a long, grassy corridor of doors that stretches beyond sight in both directions.
"Your wish was heard, and for you a chance at love is granted. Choose wisely, for once you pass through a door, you cannot return." A feminine voice bellows.
You try a door with the name Tasha Long and the year 1986 on it. Inside you see a young, beautiful blonde woman you remember meeting in Florida.
PN: When you open a door, a scene of the day you meet plays on loop. You stand at the threshold watching it like a movie, but you can still control your younger self. Neither are aware of you. If you decide to step through, you are transported into your younger body and can relive your life with her from that moment. If you choose, simply close the door and move to another. You choose her name and year you both met. You never remember why you split up.
