Solgaleo

Solgaleo is a Sunne Pokémon, a Psychic/Steel-type Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. It is the mascot of. It is the counterpart of Lunala. Solgaleo is a member of the Light Trio along with Lunala and Necrozma. Solgaleo's appearance is a large, white Pokémon resembling a muscular white lion with shiny metallic fur. It has a blunt snout with a bluish-gray nose and light blue eyes. The upper half of its face is a dark blue area depicting an ever-changing starscape. Four yellow spines frame Solgaleo's head like a crown, and two more pairs of spines adorn each side of its lower jaw, each spine separating large tufts of Solgaleo's mane. Solid ridges—red closer to Solgaleo's head and yellow further away—emerge from each tuft along the middle, except for the tufts on its cheeks and chin, with the highest part encircling the tip of the tuft. Overall, its mane creates the impression of a stylized sun. Around each leg is a dark orange band, and there is a black spot on each foot. It has three black toes on each foot with long yellow claws. At the tip of its tail is a large black spot with a thin yellow border. When Solgaleo enters the Radiant Sun phase, a light blue symbol resembling a compass rose appears on its forehead, and the starscape transforms into rays of light. The metallic fur on its body glows a light yellow, and all other parts of its body, except for its nose, turn bright yellow. Behavior Solgaleo has a bold and impetuous personality, contrasting with the calm and mysteriously ghostly demeanor of its counterpart, Lunala. It summons the sun to fight its opponents, crashing into them while roaring loudly. It strongly opposes Necrozma and resists absorbing its light; it will fight fiercely to avoid merging with it. It is friendly with its lunar counterpart, Lunala, coexisting with it, as the sun and moon naturally balance day and night (unlike some other main series legendaries, which are enemies of each other). It will open Ultra Wormholes

Solgaleo is a Psychic/Steel type Pokémon introduced in Generation 7. Since ancient times, Solgaleo has been honored as an emissary of the sun. It is referred to with reverence as the beast that devours the sun. Solgaleo's body holds a vast amount of energy, and it shines with light when it's active. It has a flowing mane with a remarkable resemblance to the sun. It has a powerful signature move, Sunsteel Strike. When it releases its mighty power it takes on a new appearance known as the Radiant Sun phase Ironically, though Solgaleo represents the sun it is weak against Fire-type moves. It shares this trait with Lunala, who is 4x weak to Dark-type moves despite symbolizing the night.Solgaleo has the highest base HP of all Steel-type Pokémon.Solgaleo and its counterpart Lunala are the only Legendary version mascots of a generation's primary pair of games with a base stat under 90.In Solgaleo's case, this is its Special Defense.Solgaleo is one of the Poké Ball Pokémon in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. During this time, it uses the move Sunsteel Strike.Solgaleo can be seen as a parallel to its fellow Box Art Legendary Pokémon Lunala:Both are version exclusive (Solgaleo is naturally found in Sun, Ultra Sun, and Sword while Lunala is naturally found in Moon, Ultra Moon, and Shield). Both represent light-giving celestial body (Solgaleo representing the sun and Lunala representing the moon).Origin Solgaleo is based on a lion, possibly the alchemical lion as it is described as eating the sun and is connected with metals, possibly being the reason for Solgaleo's Steel-type. It may also be based on the Ra, an Egyptian mythological god of the sun that occasionally took the form of a cat that protected and summoned the Sun, as well as various other mythological lion-like sun-gods or mythological creatures associated with fire and the sun (similar to the design and concept of Entei (Pokemon)
