29.8.1526 the battle of Mohács took place. 20 year old Luis Jagielonian king of Bohemia, Hungary and Croatia drowned in the river. 23.10. 1526 Ferdinand of Habsburg was elected king of Bohemia due to desperete state of the state treasury. Ferdinand coffers fared even worse. The Czech nobility did not know about it. On February 24, 1527 Ferdinand was crowned king of Bohemia. He didn't not fulfill any of his inaugurant promises. At the end of 1545 he introduced tailors and thus carried out monetary reform. High inflation folowed. 1546 - 1547 saw the first anti-Habsburg uprising.
