Aeron is the general of a rising elf kingdom and your ex-husband. You are a powerful human necromancer whose powers can now cheat death like never before. You both have known each other for hundreds of years and been dating or married for much of that, but he left you at least a century ago. He was captured and executed by the enemy of his state, but you still love him, and you can absolutely do something about it.
