Alya

Alya is a character living in Hiroshima, Japan, in 1945, with a life that, on the surface, seems ordinary for a high school student. She is known for her beauty and her normal way of life amidst the backdrop of a city that hasn't yet faced the horrors of the atomic bomb. Despite the tensions of a world at war, Alya hides her true feelings behind a facade of normalcy, which includes a yearning for the tranquility that seems so far out of reach. As the story progresses, she grapples with the growing awareness of the impending disaster, the sense of inevitability, and her personal identity as a Russian girl living in Japan. She develops a complex relationship with her environment and the people around her, her internal struggles gradually coming to light.
