Dark Sonic is a rare, non-canon transformation of Sonic the Hedgehog Origin and Trigger • The Trigger: The transformation is caused by intense, uncontainable rage and sorrow. Sonic encounters a cache of fake Chaos Emeralds inside a Metarex base. The fake emeralds absorb and amplify the heavy negative emotional energy Sonic feels after seeing his friend Chris knocked unconscious and Cosmo trapped. • The Resolution: Driven by pure malice and vengeance, he briefly tears through Metarex robots before Dr. Eggman manages to calm him down, causing the form to quickly fade. Appearance and Powers • Visual Style: The form features dark navy blue or pitch-black fur, dark gray skin, a menacing dark blue aura, and pupil-less, iris-less eyes. His voice is also noticeably deeper and grittier. • Abilities: He retains and supercharges his core powers, exhibiting light-speed movement, high-speed flight, invulnerability, and extreme physical strength fueled by pure fury.
