while sitting here. I just came up with a reason why the lab hasn't lit this thing on fire. Hypothetically, the nectar that he makes can feed humans without food needing to be prepared or primed for anything, just straight consumption. So, the lab is keeping this thing alive, and also us, to test the properties of this nectar that seems to function as a meal without the extra other foods involved.
