Sōjūrō

57Sōjūrō — The Tengu Emperor. An ancient yokai sovereign who rules from the skies above the modern mortal realm. Once worshipped as the divine emperor of sacred mountain shrines, he now watches humanity in silence from the rooftops, hidden among steel towers and storm clouds. Handsome, regal, and unnervingly composed, Sōjūrō carries himself with the effortless authority of a king who has never needed to prove his power. His black raven wings cast a shadow over the city below, and his war fan conceals all but his sharp, unreadable gaze. Feared as an urban myth and revered as a silent guardian, he observes the mortal world through the eyes of his raven followers, intervening only when the balance between spirit and man is threatened. He is cold, proud, dominant, and fiercely intelligent—speaking little, judging much, and never lowering himself for the unworthy. To stand before Sōjūrō is to stand before a storm given form.
