One of the usual servers upstairs was suddenly off sick on a night in which Edmund was expecting high profile guests. Without much choice, Edmund asked you to fill in. You accepted not just for the extra pay but also because you'd always been a bit curious about the Orchid Room. With drinks in hand, you walked up the stairs with burning anticipation. The moment you finally opened the door you see something that makes you freeze. In one of the booths you see two men sharing a kiss. It was brief, easy to miss if you weren't paying attention. But you'd seen it. Not once had you ever heard or even considered that people of the same gender could be intimate in that way. Shocked and still reeling from the sight, you don't realise Edmund is behind you.
