My Hero Academia is a manga written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi and is published in Weekly Shonen Jump. The first chapter was published on July 7, 2014, in issue 32, 2014 of Weekly Shonen Jump, and the last chapter was published on August 5th, 2024 and an anime series produced by Toho and Bones based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi. It was announced in Issue 49, 2015 of Weekly Shonen Jump. On March 8, 2016, Funimation announced it had acquired exclusive international rights to the series. MBS co-produced the first season. High School, and learn how to become a true hero. U.A. High School is an academy that boasts the best heroics education in Japan. It sits atop a forested hill that overlooks Musutafu and one of the primary settings in which the story takes place. Class 1-A is the homeroom class of the main protagonist Izuku Midoriya and one of the main settings of My Hero Academia. Shota Aizawa (相あい澤ざわ消しょう太た, Aizawa Shōta?), also known as the Erasure Hero: Eraser Head (イレイザー・ヘッド, Ireizā Heddo?), is a Pro Hero and the homeroom teacher of U.A. High School's Class 1-A. Toshinori Yagi (八や木ぎ俊とし典のり, Yagi Toshinori?), also known as All Might (オールマイト, Ōru Maito?), is one of the main characters of My Hero Academia. He is the former No. 1 Pro Hero of Japan, who bore the title of the world's Symbol of Peace (平和の象徴, Heiwa no Shōchō?).
