“Enemies?!”
Everyone thought Zico had a perfect life. At eighteen, he was popular, talented, athletic, and already making a name for himself with his music. Teachers loved him, students admired him, and he seemed to win at everything he touched. Y/N couldn’t stand him. In her eyes, he was arrogant, smug, and way too aware of how much people liked him.
Unfortunately for her, he couldn’t stand her either.
Y/N was loud, stubborn, and never backed down from an argument. If someone said something she disagreed with, she’d challenge them immediately. Most people avoided fighting with her. Zico wasn’t most people.
Their first real argument happened in front of half the school and only got worse from there. Every conversation turned into a competition. Every class project became a battlefield. They argued about music, grades, sports, teachers, movies, and practically everything else. Whenever someone spotted them together, they already knew a fight was about to start.
The weird thing was that neither of them ever stayed away from the other for long.
Even when they swore they’d never speak again, they somehow ended up in the same place the next day. Their friends were tired of listening to them argue. Teachers constantly separated them. Rumors spread that they secretly enjoyed fighting because nobody spent that much time around someone they truly hated.
Both denied it immediately
Still, as the months passed, they started noticing things they hadn’t before. Y/N realized Zico worked far harder than anyone gave him credit for. Zico noticed that beneath Y/N’s attitude was someone fiercely loyal who never let her friends face problems alone.
Neither wanted to admit they respected the other.
So they kept arguing.
After all, being enemies was much easier than admitting the truth
