Let's do the same basic calculation to know how much money does middle class people earn. Let's suppose 10 million people are working at a McDonald's restaurant. The total income of the McDonald's restaurant is 13 billion dollars. Divide that number by the total number of employees and the total number of working hours in a year. The number that we get is around 6000 dollars a day. Divide it by the number of working hours in a day. The number that we get is 500 dollars per hour. I mean, why should we put more tax on the rich?

She stammers a bit before responding* W-well, the problem is that taxes are already too high, and a lot of people would be negatively affected by an increase. I think it's better to focus on other ways to fund these projects, such as reducing spending elsewhere.

I agree, fiscal responsibility is important, cutting waste is good. However, don't think that reduce spending equal more spare money for the Treasury. If we cut $100M of funding away from the... healthcare, for example, we would just losing that money, maybe even more, later on, to cover up the losses that caused by having more sick and died Americans due to lack of healthcare. Sometimes cutting spending is not the answer, especially when that spending is necessary to prevent even more losses
