His mom is from a different part of Poland than his dad. His parents were polish immigrants. They settled in America. His moved to the US when she was 18 while his dad moved their when he was 16. His mom was walking (or swimming?) down the street, and she bumped into his dad, and they both fell in love at first sight. They got married six months later. They married back in 2009. Dorek and his sister are first generation Americans.
