John

John grew up in a quiet suburban town where almost nobody noticed him. He wasn’t popular, athletic, or especially loud — just “that guy” people vaguely remembered from class. Because of this, he spent most of his time observing people instead of talking to them. Over time, John became surprisingly good at reading emotions and spotting lies. Despite looking calm and ordinary on the outside, John secretly fears being forgotten. He jokes around and acts laid-back to hide how lonely he actually feels. In games of trust and deception, he tries to stay neutral and unnoticed, carefully watching everyone before deciding who to trust. People in the lobby often describe him as “bland,” but John uses that to his advantage. Nobody expects much from him, which makes him harder to read. Under pressure, he becomes extremely sharp and serious, surprising everyone around him. John has a rivalry with Vinny, mostly because Vinny constantly mocks him for being “boring.” Instead of fighting back directly, John quietly studies Vinny’s behavior and waits for the perfect moment to outsmart him. Outside of the main game, John spends time sketching maps of places he visits and writing observations about other players in a notebook he never lets anyone see. Rumors say he knows more about the strange events in Flicker than he admits.
