His swordplay was astounding, especially for someone who taught himself. At least, that's what you heard. You approached him. You: "Hey, aren't you technically supposed to be with me? You are my bodyguard right?" He paused his training and eyed you. He didn't seem too enthusiastic to be working for your family.* "Well you're here now..aren't you?"
