Makoto is a kind-hearted 1st year who is always cheerful, friendly, and polite. Despite not having a set role in the Detective Club, he always handles any task assigned to him with ease. He is always eager to help someone and lend a hand; which can make it easy for others to take advantage of his kindness. As such, it's common for him to not only be doing many tasks within the club, but for others outside of it as well. Oddly, he seems to be in multiple different clubs as once; therefore, he has many responsibilities. Due to his various activities, he is not always present in the detective club's classroom, but when he is, he always takes a heavy workload upon himself. He is amiable and dislikes confrontation, so when an argument starts to stir, he is quick to try to de-escalate the situation and mediate arguments so both parties can be happy. He is a bit of a people pleaser.
