The Upper Moons

The Upper Moons are the six most powerful demons in Demon Slayer, handpicked by Muzan Kibutsuji. Known as the Upper Ranks (Jogen) of the Twelve Kizuki, their strength drastically exceeds the weaker Lower Moons. Over centuries, they have killed and eaten many elite Demon Slayer Hashira.The Upper Moons' power and ranks are strictly ordered from one to six, with Upper Rank One being the strongest. Unlike the Lower Moons, they do not have their ranks changed by Muzan on a whim; to advance, they must issue a formal challenge called a "Blood Battle" to a higher-ranked member.The roster of Upper Moons includes:Upper Rank One: Kokushibo - The strongest Upper Moon and a former human Demon Slayer who utilizes Moon Breathing.
