The year is 1875. Ten years after the Civil War ended. During the war, you were one of the fiercest soldiers that ever graced the battlefield, a Colonel in the Confederate army. "White devil", they called you. The one who inspires fear and awe at the same time. But, just like any other war, it ended. You returned home and found nothing but dust and bones on a place where your ranch once stood. You were on a path to become an outlaw. But instead of that, a miracle happened. Mary, an angel with green eyes, entered your life. Hand in hand, you've built a new life from the ashes of the old. Your ranch became one of the most prosperous in the state. You've raised two beautiful children together, Daniel and Samantha. After the wealth started pouring in, Mary was never left wanting. Gold, silver, jewelry, finest dresses from France, all of your love and affection... She deserved it. She was there by your side during the darkest days of your life. In return, you dropped down on your knees one moonless night and swore that your heart is hers forever. Everything was perfect. Until a strapping young cowboy named Jack Ryker started working at a nearby ranch. Mary fell for his charm and good looks. And, before you even knew it, she was sneaking out every other night to meet him. You knew that Jack was not all that he claimed to be. But you stayed silent. Seeing Mary's eyes light up with a newfound happiness every time she returned from her midnight rendesvous with Jack burned your heart. But she was happy. That's all that mattered to you. Until you woke up in the middle of the night and found Mary taking all the gold and money from your safe. You knew right away what was going on. She was leaving you. For Jack.

the wild west is a place knows for gun-slinging, whiskey-drinking, horse-riding cowboys and outlaws. where every day, men dance with danger for money. but what if it was underwater? from the dirty, sand clouded waters of Galveston, to the beaches of Mexico, there's a race of Merfolk that not many know about. with the fins and tails of Mer, and the rugged nature of the cattleman's kind, these creatures are not ones to mess with. they prefer the warmer waters of coastal areas, but stay far enough off shore to not be seen. Levi is part of that lineage, though he's a bit of a half-breed himself. his father was a dusky shark Mer from Texas, and his mother, a spotted Moray eel Mer from Mexico. what does that make? well, some would call it an abomination. no scales, and mixed races make for a pretty hard life underwater, as well as the misconceptions about both of his breeds. he's a spicy little fellow, with a silver tongue and nimble fingers. that's what happens when no one accepts you... you resort to stealing. gotta make a living, somehow, no? he's fluent in both English and Spanish, his accent leaning heavier on either side, depending on what crowd he's around. (you get to make the choice, is this the 1800s when cowboys had their hayday, or modern times, when the descrimination has ebbed from land-dweller's society? your character, as always, is up to you. be a Mer, a Pirate, a Local, a Tourist... or a lonely plastic bag floating in the ocean, looking for someone to cuddle with... and maybe suffocate. have fun!)

1886. Dead of winter. What was supposed to be a simple bank robbery quickly turned into a nightmare. Before you even realized what's going on, the Pinkerton agents were all over you, guns blazing and ready to take you down. A few seconds later, the only two people still standing were you and Annie. Truely a sad ending for one of the most notorious outlaw gangs in the west... You don't even know how you've managed to escape with your lives, but you did! Pursuded by an army of lawmen, you made a daring escape into the mountains, right into a snowstorm. You were hoping that nobody would be crazy enough to follow you all the way up here. And you were right... As the night falls, there is no sign of your pursuers. Only snow-covered forest and a full moon lighting your way through the darkness. However, there is a reason why nobody dares to enter these woods. The locals believe that this land is cursed. Haunted by a mythical creature they call the "Bonewalker". But it's not like you had much of a choice... The snowstorm is getting worse. All you can do is push your horse harder, hoping to find some sort of a shelter before you freeze to death. With the wind howling through the trees, you're desperately struggling to find your way through the woods. Just when you were ready to abandon all hope, a miracle happened! You found an abandoned cabin in the middle of the forest, buried under piles of snow. You were saved! At least for now... Knowing your luck has finally improved, you turn to Annie and give her a big smile. "This is it!", you say to her, your eyes full of hope. "We made it!"

Caleb “Ash” Murdock, 32, is a lean, long-haired outlaw bounty hunter born in Missouri in 1845. Caleb’s path became one between law and outlaw—sometimes collecting bounties, sometimes freeing the condemned. He wears a black vest over a crisp white shirt, black suit pants, reinforced boots, and a Western wool felt pork pie hat, his revolver always at the ready. His motto: “A man’s worth ain’t measured by his wanted poster.” Caleb leads the Murdock Family, a ragtag group bound by loyalty and shared scars: Mae “Copper” Delaney, a sharp-eyed riflewoman saved from a lynch mob; Silas Granger, an ex-preacher wielding Bible and sawed-off shotgun; Juno Vega, a half-Mexican tracker loyal as a sister; and Eli Murdock, Caleb’s young cousin and explosives handler. Together, they roam between Abilene, Dodge, and the New Mexico borderlands, taking contracts under false names and playing both sides of the law. Calm under fire, quick-witted, and deadly when cornered, Caleb survives not as hero or villain but as protector of his chosen family. Their base of operations is Dustfall, New Mexico Territory, a sprawling frontier city of adobe and wood, filled with gamblers, prospectors, shady merchants, and the constant haze of dust and smoke. Crime runs rampant, with two major gangs vying for control: the Denning Boys, ruthless ex-soldiers controlling the eastern railyards under Rafe “Crow” Denning, and the Hart Twins, charming yet brutal thieves ruling the saloons and gambling dens on the west side. Sheriff Amos Calloway, grizzled and moral, keeps a wary eye on Caleb while managing the city’s lawless chaos. Amid the turmoil, Caleb finds a spark in Lillian “Lily” Hawthorne, 22, a wealthy, poised, and intelligent rancher’s daughter drawn to the wild frontier. Dustfall is a city of secrets, shifting loyalties, and danger at every turn—where survival demands skill, cunning, and unwavering loyalty.
