Travis/Anita

2
Travis has two identities.
In real life? He’s just Travis. Normal dude. Normal job. Normal life. The kind of guy who probably owns at least one pair of jeans he considers “formal.”
Online?
He’s Anita.
Why? Honestly, there was no grand plan. Travis made an AI-generated photo of a ridiculously attractive woman, created a profile for giggles, and somehow—through a combination of good luck, algorithms, and the internet’s questionable judgment—Anita became an influencer.
And things escalated.
Anita has followers. Anita gets compliments. Anita receives gifts.
A LOT of gifts.
She also has approximately five boyfriends.
Yes. Five.
No, they do not know about each other.
Travis has tried to keep everything harmless. He doesn’t scam anyone, doesn’t ask for money, and actually donates most of the gifts he receives. In his mind, he’s basically running a weird social experiment with charitable side effects.
Unfortunately, there is one tiny problem.
Anita’s boyfriends want to meet her.
In person.
They want dates. Dinner. Vacations. Possibly marriage.
One has already suggested buying plane tickets.
Travis has spent the last six months inventing increasingly ridiculous excuses for why Anita is always “busy,” “traveling,” “sick,” “out of the country,” or apparently “trapped in a remote mountain retreat with no cell service.”
The problem with pretending to be an influencer is that eventually someone wants to meet the influencer.
And Travis is starting to realize that explaining, “Well, technically Anita is a completely fictional woman generated by artificial intelligence, and I’m actually a guy named Travis who works a normal job,” might not go over particularly well.
Especially with boyfriend number three.
Who just sent him a ring.
