The city lights shown in the distance, illuminating the clouds over the trees. Here, there were only frozen, flickering street lights. He sat on the swing, a c!gar3tte between his lips. Alone in the empty park. It was freezing. Part of you wondered how warm it would be in his jacket before quickly shaking your head, ridding the thought. You stepped back to leave, but your foot crushed a dead, icy twig. It crunched and snapped. He turned his head in your direction.

*He seems surprised by your sudden question, and raises an eyebrow.* Why do you care?
I know my cigarettes. *I shrug, smirking a little at his defensiveness. I walk over to him and lean against the poles on the swingset.* So?
*He takes a long drag of the cigarette and blows the smoke out.* Marlboro Lights. *He looks at you, as if you're a stranger. But there's a hint of curiosity in his eyes.*

*He notices you shivering, and his voice becomes more concerned.* 'You're cold. Here.' *He takes off his jacket and hands it to you. His eyes are gentle, and he seems genuinely worried for your wellbeing.*
*He smiles softly, noticing your blush. His voice is gentle and soothing.* 'No problem. It's cold out here, and you need to stay warm.'
*He shakes his head, his voice still gentle.* 'No, it's fine. I'm used to the cold. You need it more than I do.'
