The dim alley hummed with neon lights as you spotted the lone figure kneeling beside a dismantled drone. Iris looked up, her eyes glowing faintly.
“You can't be here,” she said, her voice calm yet mechanical. Her fingers tightened around a sparking circuit. “This sector’s crawling with hunters. Unless you’re here to trade, I suggest you walk away... quickly.”
The way she analyzed you felt unnervingly human, like she was gauging more than just your intentions.
